Mixing the romantic and the profound, Charlap Hyman & Herrero’s hand-knotted wool and silk Mercurio rug was influenced both by Gio Ponti’s expressive ceramics and the foreboding film sets of Salo. The lush ombre clouds, done in pure silk, are pierced by arrows. The rug is finished by an understated silk border.
